I 'm from Hampton, Virginia and graduated from Kecoughtan High School in 1965. I went to my fiftieth class reunion in the Fall, 2016. It was great to see so many Indians (KHS mascot). All the Kyle cousins decided we wanted to see the world and attended an out-of-state college or university. I came to the University of Georgia and have been here since 1965. I went to the College William and Mary during the summers to graduate in four years from UGA. My family members were educators, teachers, superintendents, librarians, school board members. in fact, one of my  female cousins is the President of Radford University in Virginia. She is retired in 2017 and has just had a building named in her honor- Kyle Building. My father was an engineer with the space program (NASA). "Hidden Figures" book and movie is a close representation of my early life in Hampton, Virginia. I have an older brother who graduated from William and Mary and retired as a captain from the Air Force.

I was married for thirty-three years to my wonderful and loving husband, Ernie who passed away in 2010. We had two daughters who graduated from UGA, also. Our youngest daughter married a cattle and chicken farmer in Madison County. She is a Human Resource Officer at a Urology Clinic in Athens. We have been blessed with a two  granddaughters and wil have another grandchild in January, 2018. My oldest daughter received her second degree in nursing. She is a Surgical nurse at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). I still maintain our small cattle farm with donkeys, horses, rescue dogs and cats. I have added 3 beautiful rescue horses over the past year. We love all animals as you can tell.
