Bio

I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I came to Texas in 1987 to attend Rio Grande Bible Institute where I obtained a degree in Christian Education (1987-1991). In the fall of 1991 I arrived at Toccoa Falls College where two years later I graduated with a degree in Christian Counseling (Applied Skills). I have a Masters of Arts degree in Spanish from Piedmont College in Demorest as well as a specialist degree in Supervision and Administration from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. I have taught Spanish at the high school for 14 years.

I am married to Rusty Farris We live in Toccoa. We attend First Alliance Church of Toccoa where I have served as Sunday School teacher and most recently as an AWANA teacher for several years.  I have two children:  Joy Anabel - 18 and Micah Josiah - 13. I also have two stepchildren:  stepdaughter Nakisha -29, (she has given us two grand-babies, Oryan -11 and Layla -8) and a stepson Rusty Jr. -28.

I truly enjoy teaching and count it a privilege to be able to influence the lives of the young people God sends my way every semester. It is my hope to help prepare our future leaders well for the challenges they will face today and tomorrow in our ever changing world.
