I am a graduate of Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, Virgina; class of 1981.  I then attended Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, TN and earned an Associate degree in Business Administration in 1983.  From there I went to Penn State University and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education.  I earned my Masters Degree from the United States Sports Academy in 2001 in Sports Management.


This is my 32nd year in education.  I previously taught at Pendleton High School in South Carolina for 31 years.  This is my first year at Franklin County High School. 


I am happily married to Lisa (from Knoxville, TN) for 30 years.  We have three children, Corinne who is an assistant supervisor for Anderson County Dispatch.  Michael who is a graduate baseball coach at Thomas University and a son Chandler, who is freshman at Thomas University playing baseball.

I am currently the Head JV Football coach at FCHS.  During my time at Pendleton High, I was the Head Baseball Coach for 26 years and coach JV/Middle School football on and off for 26 years.  While in college, I did play baseball at both CSCC and PSU.

During my spare time, i like to spend time with my family.  We do a lot of traveling since neither my wife or myself have any siblings in South Carolina.  I also enjoy watching sports and playing gold
