I was born in Greenville, MS and grew up outside of Tupelo, MS.  I moved to Eupora during my high school years and graduated from high school there.  I spent three years at Delta State University, got married in 1980 and then transferred to Mississippi State University and graduated there in 1981 with a degree to teach.  My husband and I moved to Ft. Worth, Texas for him to attend Seminary and I taught my first year there.  We moved back to MS for my husband to work on his master's degree at MS State and I taught two years at a Christian school in Phoebe, MS.  We then moved to Greenville, MS where i taught for 11 years.  During those years I had two children of my own and took on a teenage foster daughter.  In 1996, we move to Alice, Texas and I taught Biology and Physical Science there for six years.  We moved to Louisiana in 2002 and I taught there for 12 years.  During that time, my two biological children graduated from high school and I lost my husband and grandson in a tragic accident.  Since then, I met my Fiance and moved out here to Hartwell and took the job here at FCHS.

I have taught most high school science courses and some middle school sciences.  I have also taught Algebra and World Geography.

I majored in Biology and my minor is in Chemistry.
