Related Files: 2019 Opt Out

The Georgia Department of Education provides high school students the opportunity to demonstrate subject area competency by testing out of any class that has an EOC. Students can only do so for courses they will take during the 2018-19 school year. The cost of each "opt-out" test is $50.  Also, students who failed an End of Course assessment in the spring semester can choose to retake the test after a period of targeted remediation.

More information is available in the attached document (see Related Files above this news story). Students who are serious about one or both of these opportunities should carefully read the additional information, then contact the district office at 706-384-4554.  Please leave your name and number and someone will contact you.

The deadline for contacting the district office is Wednesday, July 20, at 4:00
